Ganesh Himal

One of the best treks in central Nepal.

The Ganesh Himal trek is one of the best in central Nepal and is ideal for those wanting to escape from the more popular regions of Annapurna and Everest. It is famous for the unspoiled Tamang culture, spectacular mountain views and colorful rhododendron forest. The starting point is only five hours by car from Kathmandu and we spend a few days trekking in the lower regions before entering pine and rhododendron forests at 3-4000 m elevation. At Jaisuli Kund Lake at 5500 m we have excellent views of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Langtang and several other peaks. The final part of the trek follows the Buri Gandaki River to Gorkha.
